How did you hear about the Movement? :)

I’m quite surprised to find that more and more Philippine bloggers are finding out about this little movement. I’m surprised because even though this blog has been around for less than three months, I’ve been getting comments from a lot of “new faces.” In perspective, I’ve been writing at A Bugged Life for more than two years — yet Blog and Soul seems to be drawing in a lot of new faces, most of whom have never commented in my original blog.

I’m happy, surprised, and motivated! I would really love to know how you heard about the Blog and Soul Movement, and would also love to hear suggestions for relevant blogger events in the future. Thank you for your support and see you in our cookie fest this August!

I heard about it through bloghopping; the announcement about the food styling/photography workshop was what made me visit the first time.

i actually have anton diaz to thank. i was bored at the office one day and decided to surf for restaurant reviews because i was having a guest fly in from canada that week. then google showed me anton’s blog. i figured, hey i can do something like this. i wanted to do something like anton’s pero yung medyo kaya ng empleyado. then, i bumped into jun de asis of magandang balita at the blog awards. then i saw jayvee, gail, yugatech, bryan boy, misteryosa, and jozzua (who happened to be a former co-worker). that was the beginning of it, then the food blogging thing happened. in the first minutes of christine’s lecture i said to myself, ‘this is what i want to do full-time when i retire’.

It’s not so surprising, Jayvs. It’s like my experience with MindanaoBloggers.com — in just a month, would you believe, it got much higher rankings in Alexa and Technorati than my other blogs. My theory is this: Community blogs that have substance do well almost instantaneously, more often than not. By the very nature of ‘community’, such blogs are helped along in terms of popularity and acceptance way faster than our own personal blogs.

I was listening to RockEd Radio yesterday and this blog site was mentioned, and since I am interested in blogging and its possibilities in contributing to nation building, I visited your site. :)

Let me know how I can contribute to this great movement you guys have going.

    Mabuhay ang Pinoy! :)
