So the secret product was the CLEAR Anti=Dandruff shampoo by Unilever. I’m usually a skeptic with anti-dandruff shampoos as I have a skin condition which sometimes manifests into dandruff flakes during different parts of the year.

So I did give CLEAR a try and yes, it does work on my hair but it didn’t stop the itching. Maybe it’s because I just think too much and scratch my noggin as a manifestation of this.

Nonetheless, the event was fun. You can view other photos taken here as well as a fashion show commentary here and here.

You misspelled the name of the company. It’s Unilever. I should know. Bin works there.

  2. actually, if you look at the ingredients of Clear shampoo, the active ingredient is something called Zinc Pyrithione, which is THE SAME as other anti-dandruff shampoos like Gard, Head & Shoulders, etc., with the exception of Nizoral.

so i think it just comes in variants for men and women, but essentially pareho lang….so i’m not sure what Unilever is bragging about.

i used to use nizoral a lot but then switched to head and shoulders and now im trying out clear. the difference for me was the smell of my hair afterwards. among the three, using clear smelled better.

im not in this industry so i really dont know. just talking from experience since i have a skin allergy condition and get dandruff on ocassion.

  4. i learned from a friend that Unilever’s budget for Clear marketing is a WHOPPING PhP 1B! and to top that, they plan to recoup it by December.

after i heard that, i started counting: Filipino population who need it x average number of Clear bottles per month per person x number of months til December x cost of one bottle.

and, i got lost in the middle of all the math.

oh btw, nizoral is ketoconazole, which is an anti-fungal. if the flakes is simply caused by dryness or other skin conditions such as seborrheic derm or psoriasis, nizoral may not work as well as it should otherwise would.

    Do you know…

maganda talaga ang clear! the difference against other anti-dandruff shampoo is its cosmetic effect sa hair. it has lysine, vitamine E and sunflower oil. sa ibang anti-dandruff shampoo hindi mo makikita sa umpisa ang difference because of the conditioning ingredients (dimethicone, dimethiconol, cyclomethicone, cyclopentasiloxane), so lalambot talaga ang hair. but because walang ingredient ang iba na nakakanourish ng hair, eventually nakakadry/dull/split end/brittle etc.
